Chamilia Charms was founded in 2002, and it now competes with Pandora Charms and Trollbeads for a place in the Charm jewelry market.  Chamilia charms, as well as the above mentioned companies, all make a large variety of Charm Beads – handcrafted beads in a variety of shapes and materials that are meant to be added to charm bracelets.  These popular accessories can be added to a Charm bracelet whenever one wishes, although many people add a charm in commemoration of a special occasion, either something that happens in their life or in the life of someone close to them.

Chamilia Charms are cheaper than both Trollbeads and Pandora Charms, which is a plus, naturally.  Not that Trollbeads or Pandora charms are in any danger of losing their popularity; to the contrary, both companies are more popular than Chamilia charm jewelry despite the fact that their beads are more expensive.  But, like any company, Chamilia Charms produces a product that is unique in several ways.  Its most popular line, the Disney line, features forty eight of Disney’s best loved characters, from the classic Pooh bear and friends to Tinkerbell and Nemo.  Not surprisingly, this set is quite a hit with the younger crowd, and I have seen many a Disney character adorn the bracelets of the not-so-young too.  Aside from the Disney set of charms, Chamilia Charms also produces a set made from Swarovski crystal which are really very beautiful, and their holiday or special occasion set is also fairly popular.
